BA BA is the short term used for Business Administration
COMM Communication is an Essential Skills Qualification in Wales and Functional Skills Qualification in England
CS CS is the short term used for Customer Service
DCELLS Department for Communication, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills is the body who fund training on behalf of the government in England
ESDGC ESDGC is short for Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship a key priority for t2 group. More information about this can be accessed through t2 knowledge bank
ESF ESF is the European Social Fund who full or partly fund many of the programmes t2 group offer
ESiW Essential Skills in Wales are key skills identified by employers such as Numeracy, Literacy and ICT which t2 group offer as stand alone qualifications and as part of an Apprenticeship Framework in Wales
ESTYN ESTYN is the education and training inspectorate for Wales
EYC EYC is the short term used for Early Years Care
Framework A Framework (also known as Apprenticeship Framework) is a number of qualifications that have been agreed to meet the needs of industry for a specific Apprenticeship
Functional Skills Functional Skills (FS) are key skills identified by employers such as Numeracy, Literacy and ICT which t2 group offer as standalone qualifications and as part of an Apprenticeship Framework in England
HSC HSC is the short term used for Health and Social Care
ICT ICT is the name for Information Communication Technology and commonly is an Essential Skills Qualification in Wales and Functional Skills Qualification in England
IG Initial Guidance is the term used when we sign up learners onto a programme to ensure that they are provided with impartial advice and guidance of a high standard
ILM ILM stands for the Institute of Leadership and Management and is the awarding body we use for management qualifications
IQA Internal Quality Assurance is the term used for internal quality staff who ensure that the quality of learner portfolios meet awarding body standards
NEET NEET is the term used for young people who are currently not in employment, education or training
Obs Assessment technique for the observation of a candidate in the workplace
OFSTED OFSTED is the education and training inspectorate for England
PDM Personal Development Manager is the term used in t2 group for an QCF Assessor
PDP/ILP PDP/ILP stands for Personal Development Plan/Individual Learning Plan and is a record of learning and development agreed with t2 group and a learner
QC Assessment technique for Questioning of Candidate
QCF QCF stands for Qualifications and Credit Framework and is the national credit transfer system for education in England
QW Assessment technique for Questioning of witness
RPL Assessment technique for Recognition of prior learning
SFA Skills Funding Agency is the body who fund training on behalf of the government in England
Tech Cert Tech Certs (also known as Technical Certificates) are the taught learning elements of an Apprenticeship Framework
TL TL is the short term used for Team Leading
